MarthaRoyal Oak, MII've had Martha since I was in 4th grade ( now I'm in my junior year of college). My dad won her from a hunting club that he went too. Ever since that special day I did nothing more but love her and care for her. March of this year 2013, she was diagnosed with diabetes, it was hard but we got through it, than Martha started to get bad seizures and we had her on a lot of medication. 3 months passed and she was in a lot of pain and misery , we did what was best for her and
MarleyRoyal Oak, MIMarley was such a sweet dog. He passed peacefully on June 3rd. We had him since he was 8 weeks old, We just got back from Jamaica and named him Marley! He was diagnosed with tonsillar cancer in October 2012. We chose chemo treatment without radiation, due to his collapsing trachea. He did so well until his surgery on a large mass in his throat on May 7th. He then stopped eating and progressively started losing weight. We always will love you, Marley. You brought us
Jenny TooSouthwest MichiganMy friend and I said goodbye to Jenny on May 24th 2013. It was so hard for me to let her go but I knew she would be pain free. She was a gorgeous 14 year old. We believe she suffered a brain hemmorage. She fought to the very end. Jenny I will never forget how you lifted your head for the last time and smelt me around my lips--it was as though you were giving me a last kiss. Thank you for giving us 5 years of joy of resuing you to a better life. You were a blessing--RIP i
BuellerCharlotte, NCMay 16th we said Good Bye to Bueller.
We have been saying this with gentle hugs and kisses atop a furry brow since March 21st-the Day of THE Diagnosis. Before that Day we said goodbye, but, it was more of a "See you later. Don't sneak up onto the bed."
Recent nights. Every morning when leaving for work. "I love you Boy" but it was more of a "Please be here when we return."
As the weeks passed less and less of him remained when we arrived home. What w
KatieRoyal Oak, MIWe lost our precious baby Katie on 6/4/2013. She was recently diagnosed with GI Lymphoma-high risk. We noticed she looked like she was losing weight so we brought her in. They said at first that it was a tumor the size of a fist in her belly. When they did the surgery to remove it they found it was attached to her intestines. They removed it and did a resection on her intestines. We thought she was doing better until the results from her biopsy said it was Lymphoma
Bailey & PepperCharlotte, NCWe said goodbye to BOTH our loving dogs on Wed 5/29/13. Pepper fought a great fight after being diagnosed with lymphomasacoma in January. Bailey was older but on Tuesday she could not make it outside on her own. They were both eating, barking and being dogs on Memorial day, with family and friends on the patio enjoying hamburgers with all of us.
We believe they were telling us they wanted to leave this earth together. We can not thank Faithful Companion and Lap of Lo
ChloeRoyal Oak, MIWe adopted Chloe from a hound rescue in Howell, MI on January 14, 2006. She was two years old, underweight from being a stray for some time in the middle of winter, and really in need of a home. We took her home, loved her for many years, and helped her manage with severe congestive heart failure for the last year of her life. We spent countless hours feeding her by hand, getting her to take more pills than you could imagine, and she seemed genuinely happy until the end
JordiCharlotte, NCJune 1998 Jordi was born in Tennessee, in November of that year my sister and I introduced Jordi to my ailing parents as a companion. It took a while but they warmed up to him and he grew on everybody he encountered. My parents have long passed but my mother just before she died made me promise to take care of her baby. I have now fulfilled that promise as Jordi passed on May 22, 2013 after suffering a final tragic seizure. Jordi was 16 years old and a bundle of energy,
Jade O’ShieldsCharlotte, NCOn May 12 2013 my baby boy Jade was his normal spunky self even going for his annual exam the next day. But on Wed 5/15/13 he became sluggish and an ultrasound diagnosed stage V lymphoma. He had some wonderful days and never felt pain or distress. One week from diagnosis, May 22, 2013, Dr. Theobald of Lap of Love helped my baby boy cross over the rainbow bridge with dignity pease and grace.
