Trixie

My sweet angel, Trixie, came home with me from Miami Dade Animal Shelter on 5/1/1998 when she was just 7 weeks old. My little old lady was 15.5 years old when she passed away on 9/6/2013, she had a mass in her mouth that came on suddenly and weakened her rapidly. Even on her last day, she was smiling, and taking long walks with her buddy/protector, Brutus. She went down fighting, and had the mass not been so aggressive at such a late age, I truly believe she would’ve beat it.
She was my best friend for almost half of my life, and even though she was such a terror as a puppy, she was the most affectionate, sweetest girl and always by my side. This hole in my heart will never be filled, and I can’t wait to see her when it’s my time to go.
Faithful Companions in Clifton was amazing throughout the process, with a quick pick up of Trixie at the vet’s office, and Kenny even met me after hours so I could pick up her ashes myself.
Mommy loves you, Trixie.
“Although no longer by my side, you are forever in my heart”

I am in terrible sorrow for the loss of my lady cat Natasha, who passed away this past Sunday, September 29, 2013, after being with me for fourteen and a half years. She came into my life in 1999, after being abandoned in a warehouse with an additional 50 cats. I always had dogs, but not cats, so I was kind of uneasy at the prospects of having her. When I got her I took her to the vet, who told me she had feline leukemia and recommended to put her to sleep in 1999. I refused to do that. Natasha lived with me all these years, and her departure is really painful. Don't know if there is a heaven for pets, but she was really wonderful and kind. God bless her always.
