Solomon (King) Sheridan

Solomon came to live with our family in 2006 after spending a year training to become a Leader Dog for the Blind. While his loving nature was undoubtedly a great asset his “flightiness” made him a bit too over Zealous to make it through the program. He left that program to stay with a family who cared for him for about a year but sadly due to a family change they needed to find a Solomon (or Mini as they sometimes called him) a new home. In the spring of 2006 we were contacted through a chain of events and we went to see him. The Twins (Kevin Jr. & Shannon were 9 yrs old), Kevin and Patty (drove and hour) to “take a look” at him before we made a decision. Immediately (big) Kevin said “what a great dog”….the twins “Mom, can we get him”….Patty “He’s TOO Big and he jumps….so I don’t think so”…well, Mom (Patty) was overruled (thankfully). For the next 10 years, Solomon (Solie as we liked to call him) brought JOY, LOVE, HAPPINESS to our family and to all who met him. (Yes, Patty ended up LOVING him). Solomon had a Great Life, full of fun memories, lots of hugs and kisses and treats from Shannon and Kevin Jr. (they LOVED him, and was their BEST friend growing up) Solie got lots of Love from (big) Kevin too (they were pals)…Patty loved and appreciated Solomon more every day and especially became close when the twins left for college (Solie took away the lonliness from the home). God granted one last great family time together at Wabash College before he was called to heaven. God Bless Solomon King Sheridan, you will never ever be forgotten, you were the best dog anyone could’ve ever asked for.
