SLICK “BIG BABY”

This truly was the best dog that ever lived. I promised him that I would hold his owner close and take good care of him-because Slick was his one true love- his loyal companion. They shared the kind of love no human could ever share with another human-unconditional love and trust. My heart is heavy with the absence of our "gentle giant"...the house is emptier, and life is a bit emptier too...I pray he understands the decision we had to make to let him go. I pray he is with a new owner in heaven who will watch over him temporarily until we all meet again, and I thank him for accepting me as a member of his family. And to my wonderful, amazingly kind husband--I feel your pain, and want to take it away, but I know that I can not. The memories you two shared will forever be yours. Just know that you were the best owner any dog could ever have. You two saved each other.. and you showed incredible strength an compassion in his final hours. I love you very much.

Our family loved Slick from the moment we met him. Renee came home and said "You've got to meet their dog!" He was everything that people love in a dog; big, sweet, and loyal. Dogs like that have a way of bringing out the best in people and I see that he did that for your family. Dogs enhance our home life so much, and are so comforting to come home to. He was blessed to have you guys, and you were blessed to have him. Win-win! :) He is free from illness now and cared for in Heaven.

Its been 2 years Big Baby. You are still missed everyday.
