Max

On June 26, 2015, MAX our faithful, trustful companion for 18 + years, took his last breath on earth peacefully. He was gentle, loving and ever so thankful to be a part of our family.

Max was born on October 20, 1996. In his younger days he was the guardian of our last two grandsons, watching over them as toddlers, preventing them from climbing stairs by blocking the steps with his body. When the older ones were in the pool he played lifeguard.

Everyone who met Max fell in love with him. He was so cute. When he visited nursing homes as a therapy dog, the elderly ladies would love to pet him and talk to him, he would bring back memories of their dogs of long ago.

Max was a fighter to the end, enjoying his last meal of Italian meatballs with the family. He will be sadly missed and always remembered by all.

Until we’re together again Max, remember Mommy and Daddy love you.

I always look forward to visiting with your Mom and Dad and the best part of the visit was petting your beautiful soft, white coat. You always welcomed us with your kind, gentle disposition. You were part of a loving trio and will never be forgotten. I have a feeling you are a busy, happy dog in heaven.

Max was one of the best dogs I had ever known. This beautiful gentle dog was the one who made me not be afraid of dogs. I was bitten by a few dogs in my life, so I could never go near dogs. Max changed all of that with his gentle demeanor. I know if there is a doggy heaven, Max is there. Rest in peace dear friend, you will be greatly missed in this world. Luv ya MAX
